Its the best I can do because I don't have enough space to install OpenVPN. Im running a WRT54GS v1 with v24 SP2 Nokaid SVN 11218M NEWD Eko. Everything seems to work fine except for the PPTP VPN.
Feb 02, 2014 · Protocol is PPTP It hangs on "Verifying username and password" from the client machines the LAN settings should be fine as this machine is dual booted and clients connect to Ubuntu Server without issue. I don't know what kind of connection you have your VPN behind, but if it's a residential class service, I have run into a number of offsite scenarios where users couldn't log into VPN because their ISP started blocking all standard "work related" ports until you upgrade to business packages. I went so far as to delete the VPN connection on the troubled client and that didn't help. Setting up Windows Server 2012 Datacenter as a VPN (with everything as default settings), I receive no errors upon installation, then I restart. Upon trying to connect to the VPN, here is what happens: Using internal IP from a Windows 8 computer If I set Type of VPN to "Automatic" and try to connect, I get: VPN Type: Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). Choose a Username and password for Type of sign-in info. Input your username and VPN password. Check your information here. Click Save. Step 5.
